Concrete, Moisture, Roofing, and…Baseball?

Attendees learn about the impacts of moisture, before dinner and a Mariners game at Safeco Field.

On August 26, 2014, Snyder teamed up with Seattle Roof Consultant, Ray Wetherholt, to bring clients an educational seminar on one of the fastest growing topics and issues within the roofing and waterproofing industry – the impacts of moisture.

Aside from a general discussion over concerns around ventilation and condensation, the seminar also covered questions brought up around cure times for concrete, such as: How “long” is “long enough”? When is a vapor barrier needed? And what do we need to know if the vapor barrier will also be a temporary roof?

Held at Safeco Field, the presentation was attended by 32 project managers from a number of different local contractors. The session concluded with dinner and a major league baseball game. Now that’s a home run!

Snyder presents a variety of educational seminars each year. If this is a topic you’re interested in, or you’d like to speak with us about presenting on a different topic, please contact Chris Herbert at
