The Oregon Football Association and Snyder Oregon have completed the inaugural Civil War Fundraiser to benefit youth football camp scholarships.
Snyder employees, clients, and partners combined to raise funds to cover the cost of over a dozen scholarships for youth who would other wise be unable to attend OFA football camps due to financial hardships. The fundraiser pitted fans of the University of Oregon against supporters of Oregon State University, with the OSU side contributing the majority of the donations to win the competition. The competition itself raised $675. Snyder matched the donations and added an additional donation of $650 for a total of $2,000 going to OFA.
OFA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to reconnecting former Oregon football players and giving back to local communities by enhancing the lives of youth through sports training, mentoring, and life skills development.
OFA organizes several youth football camps across the state of Oregon each year, as well as several fundraising and networking events. Proceeds from these events benefit the development of the camps, which are staffed by former UO players, current UO coaches, and representatives of the UO football team.
OFA was founded in 2011 by University of Oregon alumni, including OFA President & Executive Director Ryan DePalo, who played football for the Ducks and wanted to give back to the young athletes in the state of Oregon.
