Project Profile

The Nyberg Rivers retail complex in Tualatin, Oregon is now home to Cabela’s Retail Center. The giant retailer of hunting, fishing, camping and related outdoor merchandise has over 40 stores located throughout the United States. This is the second store to open in Oregon and it stands at nearly twice the size of the existing 58,000 square foot location in Springfield, Oregon. In addition to Cabela’s, a New Seasons Market, HomeGoods, LA Fitness, and four restaurants will be taking up residence at the Nyberg Rivers complex.

A critical path schedule, multiple trades on site, and 86,000 square feet of roofing to be installed: mission accomplished. For Snyder, this was another seamless project delivered on time, within budget, and with zero injuries. Crew sizes were doubled in an effort to complete the roofing on time. This was to allow for the pouring of the store’s concrete floors. In an effort to reduce the risk of injuries while accommodating the aggressive schedule we used seam rollers and stand-up screw guns. Some of the risk factors eliminated included kneeling, awkward postures, repetitive motion, high forces, and carpel tunnel.
