Metro Central Hazardous Waste facility is where Portland area residents recycle and dispose of their most toxic household materials. It’s a facility that experiences heavy traffic and requires safety and security within every square foot of the property and for each and every process that occurs within. The busy station serves the entire tri-county region. Among their many services here, Metro Central receives unused or unwanted paint and repurposes it for resale to the general public. It’s about solving problems and creating opportunities. Safely. Efficiently
Safe disposal adds community value.
Another Snyder project site that is fully owned and operated by our tri-county local government, the Metro Central Hazardous Waste facility project was relatively small. But nonetheless, it was important in serving area residents. Among other services, Snyder was retained to remove existing roofing, add tapered insulation to improve drainage and upgrade the R-Value to meet code. Installation of the new roof system featured 60 mil. Firestone TPO, counterflashing and fall protection anchors. Furthermore, all mechanical equipment was to be upgraded to meet code. In accordance with its commitment to constantly improving sustainable practices, Snyder installed 2,700 sq. ft. of ecoroof. Building more, sustainably.
