Project Profile
The Mirabella Tower embraces what healthy aging is all about. Developed by Pacific Retirement Services and designed by Ankrom Moisan Architects, Mirabella Portland opened its doors in 2010. The LEED Platinum-certified high-rise provides 30 floors of senior living. To meet this whole building approach to health, which includes sustainable site development, water savings, energy efficiency, materials selection and indoor environmental quality, the award-winning architectural and general contractor team selected their best option; Snyder.
In an age of vision and beauty.
Located in Portland’s South Waterfront district, Mirabella literally means “beautiful vision” in Italian. The Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) is designed to help residents create a vision of the future. On the top roof, that meant 8,800 sq. ft. of Siplast SBS modified built-up roofing with LEED-rated bright white pavers installed over the roofing. On the lower levels, residents could enjoy two garden roofs and paved decks on an additional three floors. From a project perspective, this meant 52,900 sq. ft. of American Hydrotech hot fluid-applied waterproofing. From the perspective of the residents, it meant the freedom to enjoy their golden years with the security of care in a visionary building.
